Stockholm, Sweden – In a major breakthrough for urban transportation, Swedish startup Velosense, led by CEO Isak Bergström, has unveiled an innovative AI-powered smart bicycle, named “Cyklogic,” at the annual Stockholm Tech Fest.
The Cyklogic smart bicycle is equipped with an array of sensors and cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology that work together to provide a seamless and safe cycling experience. Some of its remarkable features include real-time traffic updates, adaptive lighting, and built-in theft prevention mechanisms.
Speaking at the Stockholm Tech Fest, Bergström explained the inspiration behind Cyklogic: “Our vision is to revolutionize urban transportation by offering a smart, eco-friendly, and efficient alternative to traditional modes of travel. We believe Cyklogic will help make cities more sustainable and reduce traffic congestion.”
The AI system on Cyklogic, developed by Velosense’s lead engineer, Sofia Nilsson, continuously monitors the bicycle’s surroundings and provides real-time feedback to the rider. The bicycle’s integrated navigation system offers turn-by-turn directions, while its adaptive lighting system adjusts the brightness and beam pattern of the front and rear lights based on ambient conditions.
Another groundbreaking feature of the Cyklogic smart bicycle is its advanced anti-theft technology. The bicycle is equipped with a built-in GPS tracker and a smart lock that can only be unlocked using the owner’s smartphone. If the bicycle is moved without being unlocked, an alarm is triggered, and the owner is notified immediately.
Early reviews of the Cyklogic smart bicycle have been overwhelmingly positive, with testers praising the seamless integration of AI technology and the bicycle’s sleek design, which was created by renowned industrial designer, Magnus Lindqvist.
Velosense plans to launch a Kickstarter campaign in the coming months to fund the mass production of the Cyklogic smart bicycle. The company has set a target price of $1,500 for the bicycle, with the first units expected to be shipped in the second quarter of next year.
As urban centers around the world increasingly embrace cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation, innovations like the Cyklogic smart bicycle are set to play a crucial role in shaping the future of city travel. With its advanced features and environmentally-friendly design, Velosense’s Cyklogic is poised to lead the charge in revolutionizing urban mobility.
