Lindström, a former pigeon racing champion, believes that pigeon training can provide valuable life skills and enrich the educational experience for her students. “Training pigeons requires patience, responsibility, and strong communication skills,” she explained. “By integrating this unique subject into our curriculum, we aim to foster these qualities in our students while also paying homage to Sweden’s rich history of pigeon racing.”

Starting this academic year, students at Björkholm Academy will attend weekly pigeon training classes, learning the basics of pigeon care, breeding, and racing.
